Large-Scale Smart Device IoT Platform: Unified control and operational efficiency

The limits of distributed device management and excessive operating effort

When tens of thousands of IoT devices are installed across wide physical areas, it becomes difficult to understand and control the condition of each unit efficiently in real time. Manual site visits for consumable checks and firmware updates consume major operating resources, while the absence of flexible permissions and a unified control architecture becomes a structural limitation in day-to-day service operations.

Introducing a large-scale IoT control architecture built on MQTT and REST APIs

To solve those scalability problems, the platform was designed around a high-performance MQTT broker and REST APIs that support large-scale real-time communication with tens of thousands of devices. Standardized device-control recipes automate consumable data collection, scheduled execution, and global remote firmware deployment. Open API integration with broader IoT ecosystems also allows the devices to be controlled flexibly from external mobile environments.

A 70% reduction in device operating cost and a 40% improvement in consumable turnover

By automating device-state monitoring and firmware updates, the project reduced operating effort for field-centered device management by more than 70%. Real-time data also enabled consumable-optimization logic that improved timely replacement and raised consumable turnover by more than 40%, creating a more consistent customer experience. Together with RBAC-based security, the platform established a standard foundation for expanding from simple device sales into data-driven subscription services.
