Integrated Digital Metering Infrastructure: Assetizing heterogeneous data for intelligent control

Industrial environments often contain a mixture of analog and digital metering equipment from different manufacturers and generations, which makes integrated data management extremely difficult. In legacy infrastructure without communication modules, operators must still visit the field to read and write values manually, creating persistent risks of omission and error. Without a common platform to normalize and synchronize those data sources in real time, smart-factory transformation remains constrained.

To break through those physical barriers, intelligent Vision AI was applied so OCR, color recognition, and pointer reading can run together across multiple regions of interest. More than ten industrial-standard communication protocols were combined to improve data-link flexibility, while distributed edge inference converts large volumes of visual field data into structured values in real time. Those measurements are stored in a time-series database and connected to automated workflows whenever threshold-exceeding conditions appear.

This automation approach cut data-collection and management effort by more than 90% and unified more than 98% of previously fragmented device interfaces inside a single system. Without replacing the physical infrastructure, intermittent meter readings were transformed into continuous digital datasets that support real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance. The result is a practical operating standard for intelligent manufacturing built on integrated field data.
